Better late then never...

How could I forget to post Halloween pictures... Jackson was Curious George! For those who know Jack, it was a perfect costume for him! He is our little curious george! He loves to get into everything and make monkey sounds! For Halloween we went to Steve's work for a party and our ward had a trunk-or-treat! Jackson loved holding out the pumpkin bucket, attempting to say, "Trick or treat", to get his candy! Steve's sisters came with us to the trunk or treat! Then we went to my sister's for dinner and more treats! It was alot better than last year's Halloween, when Jackson and I were sick!

Playin' in the leaves

Aren't the seasons awesome? My favorite is the leaves changing beautiful colors! We love FALL at our house! We have two huge trees in our backyard that drop lots of leaves to have fun in! Jackson thought the leaves were the greatest! Steve would rake a big pile together and Jackson caught on pretty quick that it was fun to jump in them and throw them everywhere! It was fun!

Jack loves to help Daddy rake the leaves!

Havin' a good old time!

Throw the leaves everywhere!!!

What's that growing in our yard....

Its official! We now have our yard in! Yeah! Steve has done a great job! This summer we had to remove about 6 inches of dirt off the whole front yard because our lot was the last one to be developed on our street, so it was used as the road base (which I'm told basically is where they dumped lots of gravel for the streets to be paved). We had topsoil brought in, leveled the yard, had curbing put in, and planted grass! We even got a little tree! Each day as we look outside to see the progress of our grass! Jackson loves playing in it! Our neighbors boys call Steve "Farmer Joe" because he was always out on the tractor smoothing out the dirt! Here are a few pictures of our green yard! It was a long project, but well worth it!

Jack's first Pumpkin Patch

The other day we went to a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins to carve for Halloween! We went with some of our good friends, the Thaxtons! Jackson had a blast walking through the fields of pumpkins! Everywhere you looked there were pumpkins! We finally found our three and loaded them in the cart. This place also had a hay bale maze for the kids and fun picture boards to take pictures in front of! This Halloween will be fun! Last year Jackson and I were sick! So this year he will be able to experience the fun of trick or treating! Happy Halloween to everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!

Yes.....we AGGIE fans went to a BYU football game and cheered on the Cougars! For Steve's birthday (September 12th), we went to the BYU vs. UCLA game! Grandma Staley watched Jackson, while Steve's Dad, little sister, a friend Doug Richins, and us two headed down to the game!

Each time BYU scored someone in our section would throw tons of confetti! There was little pieces of paper everywhere! Over 64,000 people all screaming for the Cougars, needless to say it was loud and alot of fun! The game was basically a complete blow out! As you can see on the scoreboard, 59 - 0!!!!

BYU creamed the Bruins! We had a blast! As tradition in the Staley family, we walked to the creamery to get some of the famous BYU ice cream! A sweet treat after a sweet win! Its official Steve and I are both 28! My birthday was August 31st and for 12 days every year, Steve gets to give me a hard time about being older than he is! I guess that's what you get for goin' for older women, Steve:)

Our Local Adventure

Its already the end of the summer, and we yet to have taken a break and get away and relax! So.... last week Steve took the week off of work and we had a blast! We started our little vacation with a mini golf game for family night! Jackson was so funny! We got a little golf club for him and he actually did pretty good! We forgot the camera, so just imagine a little Tiger Woods hitting the mini golf course, (and playing in the water, rocks, pretty much anything he could get his little fingers on!) Steve and I got to go play golf for real and had a great time together! Then it was time for our first camping trip with Jack! He absolutely loved it! We went up to a campsite by Huntsville and had a great time!

Jackson loved the tent and thought it was a big play pen. Here he is playing peek-a-boo with the tent door! And whats a camping trip without tinfoil dinners - full of potatoes, carrots, and meat! Yum!
We had to teach Jackson about SMORES! He loved helping roast the marshmellows in the fire! His favorite snack of the trip was definitely the Bugles! This is our little Bugle Boy, chillin' in front of the fire! As the night went on, the weather got colder! But we enjoyed the campfire, the sound of the river by our campsite, and the relaxing outdoors.
After Jackson's bottle, and a few songs around the campfire, it was sleepy time! Steve had his bottle too - DIET COKE with LIME - is his fav!

We finished our little week of local fun with the Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City.
The animals were a big hit with Jackson! We saw cows, horses, bunnies, goats, sheep (which took the cake as the worst smelling EVER), pigs, and a tiger show!

We couldn't leave the fair without Jack having the chance to sit on a tractor! He loves tractors, trucks....pretty much anything that has wheels and makes alot of noise! He was making the sound effects and everything!

After we ate kettle corn, walked around forever, and saw some of the bull riding at the rodeo, it was time to go! After the week was over, we wished we could start another just like it!

Its party time!

Ok, so I'm a little behind on getting this big event posted....But better late then never!

Our little Jack turned one on May 30, 2008! I can't believe a year has gone by since we first heard that little cry and a new life began! Words can't describe how Steve and I feel about Jackson! He is such a joy in our lives and we love him so much! He makes us laugh everyday with something new he's learned! To celebrate his birthday, we had a lot of fun all day! It started with a trip to the zoo, and on the way home, his first McDonalds Happy Meal! He loved it! Then he had a birthday party with lots of gifts, "boons" (as Jackson would say balloons), an Elmo cake, and lots of attention given to Jackson! We had all of his grandparents, aunts, and uncles over to celebrate Jack's one year mark! Here are just a few pictures of that wonderful day!

A TRIP TO HOGLE ZOO!!!!!!!!!!!

NEXT...THE BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!!!!
